Sure-Lok Wheelchair Restraint System Step-By-Step Guide and Video Tutorial

Many of our vehicles come equipped with the Sure-Lok restraint system; because at RO Bus Sales, safety and accessibility are top priorities.

If you’re new to the system or need a refresher, this quick guide will show you exactly how to secure and release the tie-down properly.

How to Secure and Release the Sure-Lok Wheelchair Restraint System

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Align the Track Fitting
Line up the Sure-Lok track fitting with the floor track in your vehicle.

  2. Lock It Into Place
Push down and slide it along the track until you hear a “click.” That sound confirms it’s securely locked.

  3. Extend the Belt
Press the red release button on the retractor to pull out the belt. Attach it securely to the wheelchair frame.

  4. Release the Fitting
When you’re ready to remove the fitting, lift the plunger and slide it in either direction. Then lift it completely out of the floor track.

And just like that — you’re done! For more support or to speak with a customization specialist, contact our team today.
